Kings Beach is the ideal destination if you’re looking for a family friendly neighbourhood with town planning and amenities that have seemingly been built especially for families and holidaying groups. With a boardwalk that extends along the Caloundra coastline this 25 kilometre scenic walkway starts at Golden Beach in the south and meanders around to Shelley and Moffat Beaches to the north. Be sure to leave plenty of time for the water park and rock pools because these are one of the most popular kids attractions on the Sunshine Coast. You may not be able to go very far at all, especially with the free public salt water pools on Kings Beach too. History buffs will enjoy changing in the heritage listed Kings Beach Bathing Pavillion that was constructed in 1937 and the military jetty used for operations during World War II. If you manage to get to Pumicestone Passage keep an eye out for the bird life and dolphins.

With so many neighbouring beaches and local attractions, it’s never a dull moment on Kings Beach. You may have trouble getting too much further than Kings Beach anyway with so many things to do, and especially with the Mets on Kings, the local Metropolitan-Caloundra Life Saving Club’s restaurant and bar so close.
